A Mani-Pedi Moment at Backstage Beauty Salon

This summer, Backstage Beauty Salon extended an invitation to Noctis Beauty Editor Charli Avery to experince a selection of signature treatments, and naturally she couldn’t resist a little luxury mani-pedi. Read on for Charli’s review of this chic Chelsea salon.

When I was invited by the Backstage Beauty Salon in Chelsea to sample a few of their treatments, of course I jumped at the chance. As a brand, they already have 16 salons, but this Kings Road branch is the first in the Capital, and offers a luxurious space in the heart of Chelsea for all your beauty needs. They offer everything you could wish under one roof – hair, make-up, nails, amongst other treatments – and they also offer money saving bundles, always a win.

I initially only wanted a manicure, but the team insisted on getting a secondary treatment – a speciality of theirs. They are known for their multiservice approach, offering multiple treatments simultaneously, saving the busy Londoner precious time without sacrificing quality. I absolutely took them up on this offer, choosing a pedicure alongside it.

The salon itself it’s a large imposing building – you cannot miss it! The finish is high-end and luxurious, and I was warmly welcomed and offered a drink before my appointment. I was taken downstairs to a private area – a little pod with a curtain, which was a nice touch, before meeting my 2 highly trained nail artists.

I chose a shocking pink for my toes – so she got right to work! As it was a multi-service appointment, the pedicure was mostly about the nails – as opposed to a traditional one in a water bath.

Whilst my toes were being pampered, my hands were being neatly filed at the same time. I chose an elongated shape, which were filed PERFECTLY, before choosing a 2-tone pink French.

The whole appointment was around 1.5 hours – including consultation, so it is definitely faster than having 2 separate appointments, and a lot less hassle.

The quality and the finish were fantastic – I was extremely happy with the results, which lasted 5 weeks without a single chip.
