Noctis beauty editor Charli Avery was extended a warm invitation by Brooks and Brooks to visit the salon for a colour appointment. Here’s how her experience unfolded.
Located between Holborn and Covent Garden, Brooks and Brooks may look imposing from the outside, but stepping through its doors feels like entering the beautiful townhouse of a very stylish friend. Set over 5 floors, the salon is a bustle with creative activity.
I was greeted by the reception team, who kindly took my coat and settled me in before introducing me to my advanced stylist, Libby. I had already completed a patch test and colour consultation prior to the appointment, so Libby knew exactly what she was working with.
At her station, we chatted through shades and options, deciding to keep my overall copper-orange colour while introducing some brighter pieces, like my reference inspo below.
Libby applied the darker colour at the station, and then the brighter toner and treatment at the basin. Afterward, she gave my hair a sleek and straight blow-dried, trimmed my fringe, and revealed the final look… (mind the flyaways, it was windy!)
Flyaways aside, the result was everything I’d hoped for. Libby captured my vision perfectly while adding her own magic touch. A few weeks later, the colour remains vibrant and full of life.
