My Dinner With hosts seasonal Creative Community Jazz/Spoken Word/Caribe-Asian Social Supper Pop-ups, designed to bring people together through food, music, board games and cultural celebration. They are now excited to announce a bi-monthly pop-up residency at The Hornbeam Centre starting on Saturday, 7th March – with evening programmes curated by the indelible writer/model Jess Cole (Retail Therapy), music performances by Arnold Chukwu and Anna Adetiba, interlude listening music and games provided by Société il Noir, and featuring Guest Chef, Safiya Robinson, of Sister Woman Vegan.
This initiative aligns directly with the mission to champion Creative Health within the community in an impactful way: nourishing bodies, emotional wellbeing, reducing isolation, and strengthening neighbourhood connections.

Speaking about their vision, My Dinner With share their aims:
Enhanced Community Impact
- Collectively, we address loneliness and social isolation, especially during evenings and winter months, by creating a safe and inviting gathering place.
Community, Circularity and Sustainability
- Working and collaborating with local residents from the area and within London, supports the ecosystem of Creativity, Care and Collaboration at a grassroots level.
Health & Inclusion:
- We showcase healthy, accessible meals, catering to dietary needs (gluten-free, nut-free, lactose-free).
Opportunities for learning report and volunteer development:
- Creating opportunities by building a support network to reach out to, from other Community Interest Companies, Community-focused groups and Creative and Community Practitioners – this will allow a dialogue of learning, collaboration, support, mentoring, feedback and reflection during the project, as well as volunteer collaboration and development to successfully deliver the Project’s aims.
Who It’s For
- Solo diners, seniors, and those at risk of isolation
- Families, friends, and groups seeking affordable community dining
- Intergenerational connections (grandparents, parents, and children eating together)
- Anyone who wants to share good food and conversation
INCLUSIVITY: How the pay-what you-feel Model Works
My Dinner With remove economic barriers to participation by making it a free entry Project/Event, and using a pay-what-you-feel model in which diners may choose to:
- Enjoy the meal for free, no questions asked
- Make a contribution (Recommended range: £1-£10). This ensures the supper club remains accessible to all while fostering a culture of generosity and sustainability.
- Ensure dignity, inclusion and fairness for all (by using a no prompt approach, displaying discreet donation points and enabling contributions to be made directly to the Community Bank Account)
