Munich band Kytes set the tone for forthcoming summer days with ‘Apricosa’, ahead of their tourlater this year.
The indie pop quartet are steadily growing confidence in their sound, channelling personal anecdotes whilst delivering arresting, expansive productions that refuse to be pigeon holed. Released through the band’s own label, Frisbee Records, ‘Apricosa’ is the first in a series of tracks of an EP due later this summer.
Speaking about the track, Kytes say “Apricosa expresses our desire to come together, our metaphor for ease and our wish to dance again in the here and now. Apricosa is a journey, our own journey to discover the more electronic and disco side of Kytes. We feel great freedom exploring new styles and nuances. We’re challenging us not to be repetitive and to always be open to unexpected turns. That’s how our own little version of indie music evolves”.
KYTES sold out European tour, more than 60 million streams, more than 30 million plays on Tiktok and a #1 chart position on Hype Machine is testament to the undeniable talent of Michael Spieler, Timothy Lush, Kerim Öke and Thomas Sedlacek. The band continues to captivate with a clutch of new releases and a series of shows across Germany, Austria & Switzerland starting this summer in August 2022.
