If you’re looking for an eccentric approach to evening wear, Hip Curve is at the forefront with garments adorned in prints, feathers and fur.
Showcasing for their second season, Hip curve’s 2021 collection offers a meld of unique fabric, each piece within the collection different from the next. Materials range from electric blue and gold patent leathers in the form of oversized blazers to feather-like tassels resting simply on the cuffs of printed jackets or fused together to form floor-length skirts.
This season’s extensive colour palette sees no limits, as the designer dabbles in gold, metallic pink, muted baby blue, rich purples and vivid reds. Every design to grace the runway offered a fusion of shades, prints and fabrics, perfectly contrasted to form a cohesive collection.
One of the most recognisable pieces to feature on the catwalk this season was a touch of gold so pure it was as if Midas had influenced the collection himself. Splattered across and fused within floral printed tights with dusty rose undertones, a matching printed scarf rests above the staple of the look, the metallic gold sherpa jacket.
Another notable look from the collection included a shaggy dusty blue long sleeve dress featuring a metallic crinkled effect bodice and deep olive green crushed velvet blazer and suit trouser set featuring whispy fur pockets in baby pink.
Subtle nods to workwear appear across the AW22 collection played upon by extravagant tailoring and accessorising. Floral details are a statement across the garments, appearing both obviously and subtly, hidden in mesh, adorned on the cuffs of coats and adding a graceful addition to each design in the form of printed scarves.
Emphasising upon, the contemporary femininity of women, whilst releasing the unrelenting power of the female energy, Bulgarian designer, Pepi Semerdzhieva behind the Hip Curve brand focuses on elegance, creativity and impeccable quality with each collection, a signature that is clear across her AW22 designs.
