For World Mental Health Day 2024, London Model Agency ANOTHER MOTHER has partnered with artist TWOSHOES to explore the hidden mental health issues in the fashion world through a series of images, illustrations, and accompanying poems.
TENDER TALKS is a collaboration between model agency ANOTHER MOTHER and artist TWOSHOES. The duo has crafted a unique collaboration between an image-driven industry and an artist who reveals the unseen in her subjects. In a world dominated by hustle culture and comparison, being vulnerable and openly discussing mental health is increasingly challenging but crucial.
“ANOTHER MOTHER believes in the power of sharing personal stories to inspire acceptance and connection. We’re excited to collaborate with Emilie Branford (Twoshoes) to bring these experiences to light on World Mental Health Day, promoting understanding and healing. Together, we can turn struggles into strength and foster a sense of community. Having both overcome their mental health challenges, Emilie and Tarja immediately connected in their shared vision for World Mental Health Day. Alongside ANOTHER MOTHER’s talented individuals, they present a thought-provoking collaboration born from Emilie’s intimate conversations.
With each story offering a unique perspective, the duo recognized the power of sharing personal experiences to create a positive impact. They invited a selection of models to Emilie Branford’s (Twoshoes) studio, where they engaged in heartfelt discussions about their journeys. Emilie aims to capture her artistic interpretation of these dialogues while allowing space for the reader’s insights. By weaving elements of the talents’ stories into visual poems, she celebrates the complexities, vulnerabilities, and strengths of each individual. The poems accompanying each illustrated photograph were crafted by Twoshoes in response to her “Tender Talks” with the talent.”
