Gothic, glamorous, and golden. The Rocky Star AW24 show, entitled Moonlight Enigma, was a moving presentation of timeless elegance. Set in St Johns Church, the stained-glass windows and dramatic stone arches created the perfect atmosphere combined with the moving classical music and smoke that settled pre-show to provide that extra mystical ambience.
Inspired by the fearless Vikings and the enthralling mystique of the Nordic region it was about exuding both power and sensuality. The elegant silhouettes embellished with sequin embroidery created a magical feel, while gold metallic dresses almost looked painted on the skin with their delicate materials. The brand’s signature botanical prints also captured the essence of luxury and completed the feeling of mythical nature. The colour palette featured gold, black, and grey adding “a symphony of daring sophistication” and carried the collection from a dark start with all black looks through to the gradually more diverse expression.
Established in 1995, Rocky Star’s mission is to create relevant, luxury couture for the ever- evolving global women and men of today. The brand has developed and created a self- sustaining unit with their in-house master craftsmen and artisans who passionately design every piece. With a focus on cut, comfort, fit, and a finish that results in haute couture, bridal, and luxury pret.
The show notes highlighted the brand’s dedication to creating fashion that is as contemporary as it is rooted and as elegant as it is innovative, evidently achieved through this year’s presentation. We were immersed in a realm where tradition intertwines with allure, with every piece narrating a story of empowerment and grace, leaving the Church with the collection creating the effect of divine experience.
