Bree Runway Live at Lafayette in Support for War Child Day of the Girl

Part of War Child’s wonderful work, Day of the Girl, was brought to life by independent riser Bree Runway

Following a year of ups and downs, Runway has come out on top with an electrifying show, and one that proves in years to come that she will be a headliner to the many. Supported by the upcoming act Brazy, Runway took to the stage with a clean backdrop aligned by a series of striking white lights and high production, as eager fans show their loyalty to an artist who is ready to break through.

From hit tracks ‘That Girl’ to the mesmerizing ‘Somebody Like You’, Runway gave the fans the reason why they were there, her latest work, ‘Just Like That’ and ‘Pawz’. But the show wasn’t just about the music. The artist’s heartfelt conversations, signing polaroids & even nearly someone’s belt and the reason why she does music connected the dots to a perfect showcase.

Speaking of their work and the show itself, Bree states, “The spirit of empowerment at the core of everything I create. I am beyond excited to collaborate with War Child for the Day of the Girl. It fills my heart with joy to know that through this project and the night I’ll headline, we can be a vessel of uplift and encouragement for women. I’m deeply grateful to team up with War Child to contribute to real change and opportunity for the next generation.”

With the works of the above being a proven success, War Child Day of the Girl highlights the work of protecting, educating and advocating for the rights of girls and women amidst the turmoil of war through the works of live entertainment innovations. And speaking on behalf of the charity, Clare Sanders-Wright, Live Music Lead at War Child, said, “A staggering £150K has been raised through ticket sales and fundraising through Day of the Girl since 2021, with some of the UK’s most innovative female-identifying artists sharing their voices to dial up War Child’s message and work. A massive thank you to the artists, partners, and everyone who buys a ticket!”

All in all, Bree Runway’s character and War Child Day of the Girl were the perfect match to a show that shouldn’t have been missed.
