‘Mercedes’ sees Sarah Klang open up at one of her most vulnerable moments, gifting listeners with an emotive insight into her evolving world. A radiant glow shines throughout her touching lyrics and vocal performance, sweetly complimented by the nostalgic upbeat Nordic alt-pop influence of the track.
Speaking on the song, Sarah shares: “‘Mercedes’ is a letter to my daughter – this is the song I wrote when I was expecting her. A promise of eternal love. And that I will do my best.”
Directed by Fredrikka Eriksson, the intimate video is a touching compilation of home videos recalling Sarah’s pregnancy, giving fans a glimpse into precious early experiences as a mother through to welcoming a beautiful baby daughter, and their new lives as a family unit.
