Nick Tsang, also known as Amberlake, reveals heartwarming visuals for his new single ‘Gold Dust.’ This fast-rising London born Hong Kong alt-pop musician and producer presents a feel-good visual for his track featuring Emma Lauren.
Before launching this new project, ‘Amberlake’, Nick Tsang has toured the world playing guitar for superstars like Ed Sheeran, Charli XCX, The Ting Tings. He also received songwriting credits with artists such as Jess Glynne and Nina Nesbitt.
The newest Amberlake record, ‘Gold Dust’ serves a combination of breezy chill-pop while exploring a more melodic side of the pop spectrum mixed with serene electronica. Amberlake shares how his prom date inspired the sound of ‘Gold Dust’: “‘After many years, I recently re-watched one of my favourite teen movies American Pie. This movie reminded me of the feelings I had for my first girlfriend while we attended our first prom dance together. Both of us were terrible dancers, but we didn’t care. We had the most amazing time swinging around each other all night, and the explosion of confetti at the end led to the inspiration of ‘Gold Dust’.”
As well as the backstory to the track, Nick got influenced by the idea of a light-hearted dance video that would simply serve the purpose of making us all smile. He elaborates: “Whilst listening to the Gold Dust one day on a train; I thought that I would love to see an old Asian couple dance to this song, which led to the inspiration to this music video. I wanted to make a fun and heartwarming dance video that will keep me smiling throughout!”
