The thought of ‘the one that got away’ is profoundly haunting for more of us. The thoughts of what could’ve been, what should’ve been, is what inspired Lusaint‘s latest single, ‘Dream Life.’ Premiering the accompanying visuals, Lusaint presents strong, confident, in an ultimate power suit, stripped-back, leaving it up to the heart-wrenching lyrics to take the main stage.
Cruising on the carousel of a possibility and one’s potential, the Manchester songstress Lusaint offers a unique blend of a soothing choir and jazzy, Latin-infused acoustic guitar. ‘Dream Life’ represents a relatable spin on the self-destructive revolving door of overthinking over the one that got away.
Lusaint’s vocals are power-charged, carrying emotions similar to Amy Winehouse and Celeste. “‘Dream Life’ is something I believe everyone will feel at some point in their life. Getting away from your everyday life to experience a new start but recognising the grass isn’t always greener”, Lusaint elaborates.
Following on ‘Fool For You’ and a powerful lead single ‘Dark Horse,’ Lusaint shares a fresh glimpse into what her debut EP ‘self-sabotage,’ due to be released next year, will entail.
Since her 2019 debut, Lusaint has been on a roll, amassing over 50 million streams with introspective lyricism and once-in-a-generation vocals. Lusaint will be headlining a show at Crazt Croqs in London on January 30th, so don’t miss out.
