By the time Aminé stepped onto the Troxy stage, the room had already been primed by DJ Tommy Gold.
Aminé opened with “Arc de Triomphe,” an entrance that immediately flipped the venue into a frenzy. Behind him, a towering LED screen pulsed with vivid, hyper-stylised animation that complemented his set perfectly. It helped, of course, that Aminé’s own style is consistently immaculate; no one wears effortless cool quite the way he does.

The setlist was a generous sweep across eras, with tracks from his latest album 13 Months of Sunshine, songs from KAYTRAMINÉ, and older deep-cuts for the fans who’ve been there since the early days. Instead of drawing out any one track, Aminé gave the crowd rapid-fire snippets, cutting songs short so he could squeeze more of his discography into the night. It made the show feel like an adrenaline-fuelled collage with no lulls or downtime- just hit after hit after hit.
His stage presence was playful and precise. At multiple points, he told the crowd that whenever he said “you’re beautiful,” they had to answer with “I know, ” giving everyone a reason to smile. He brought back his iconic tour pants bit, choosing a member of the audience to sign them and write something personal. It’s a goofy and endearing ritual that somehow never loses its charm. And through it all, he had endless energy. He knows how to work a room, and the crowd absolutely gave that energy back.

The venue’s bass was feral, the kind that thumps through floorboards and bones, and with Aminé’s set built almost entirely for movement, the whole night lived up to the name “Tour De Dance” He closed with the beloved “Caroline,” sparking great commotion, before returning for a no-surprises but high-delight encore- “Arc de Triomphe” all over again, looping the night back to where it began.
