Seattle-based rising pop sensation Envi Jordan is back, complete with dancefloor choruses and poolside antics in ‘WooHoo‘, which is complete with a showstopping video. Armed with huge synths, pounding drums and a stellar vocal deliver, Envi’s latest work is explosive, fun and carefree.
Discussing the release, Envi says:
“I wrote ‘WooHoo’ with the complete opposite energy of my last single ‘Somebody to Love’, which was about longing and loneliness. The title “WooHoo” is a reference to the euphemism of having sexual intercourse in The Sims game series, sort of an “if you know, you know” thing. ‘WooHoo’ is about being in a space where you no longer care about looking for love… You know that guy might be trouble, but it doesn’t concern you because you don’t want anything serious with him anyway… by this point your heart is guarded and you just wanna have fun. After all, summer is for enjoyment, not sadness. For me this song is an escape from a torture chamber of overthinking. Dance music is great at helping you get your mind off of things and reset your energy. ‘WooHoo’ will be featured on my self-titled debut album ‘Envi’, which I’m very excited to release later this year or early next year.”
Shot in Seattle, where Envi is based, Envi let’s us in on the behind-the-scenes work,
“We filmed in iconic locations around Seattle, including Pike Place. I can’t swim, but we managed to get a lot of great footage in a pool too, thanks to the help of a pink flamingo inflatable that I named “Kevin” on shoot day. Kevin is also on the single cover with me, which was shot by Dio Fagundes. Like with the “Somebody to Love” music video, I choreographed the dance routine myself and edited it to make sure it fully represents my vision. I’m excited for people to see it!”
The LGBTQ+ icon, nominated for Seattle’s best pop artist, Envi is on a path of becoming one of the most recognizable artists of 2026 – and this fierce ambition shows no sign of slowing.
