Love Fame Tragedy ‘Brand New Brain’ | VIDEO PREMIERE

Matthew “Murph” Murphy is making his way to the Reading Festival as we speak ready to take the Main Stage with his band The Wombats. Besides being a part of the platinum-selling indie-pop band, Murph as a singer and guitar for the Wombats goes the solo way with his project Love Fame Tragedy.

Taking name inspiration from a seminal Pablo Picasso exhibition at the Tate Modern, Love Fame Tragedy comes bearing two surprises today. His debut solo EP ‘I Don’t Want To Play The Victim, But I’m Really Good At It,’ is scheduled for release on September 27th and is ready to pre-order now.

The second surprise of the day is the reveal of the introspective music video for the third track of the EP’ Brand New Brain.’ Murph opens up about the basis of the regret-fuelled yet hopeful video: “it’s taking it way too far and having to claw your way back into whatever normality there was before… A lot of the songs are trying to make sense of the surrounding world, and why I do certain things the way I do them”.
